I’m so glad you’re here. Where are you now? Are you comfortable? Sitting at your kitchen table with a mug of warm tea? Standing on a subway train, lurching home after a long day? Whoever you are, hello. I want to know more about you. And I want to tell you a little about this blog: what is my intention? What can I offer to you?
First, as my tag line suggests on the home page, The eJoy Studio is about creating joy. For you. For me. For all of us. Real joy. Not in a glib way, but in an authentic way that acknowledges the sorrows we each survive… and therefore the deep human necessity for making happiness in all the ways we can. Please join me.
My plan is to post approximately once a week, usually on the weekends, about something that makes me joyful that I hope will inspire you too. Occasionally, due to the demands of my graduate studies, I will skip a week. But I will be transparent, so you know what to expect. Each post will have a photo and some text. I am calling my blog genre “Conscious Lifestyle” because my content will include the many things that I love: good food, responsible travel, sustainability for our planet, books, gardening, art, slow fashion, interior design… and so on. Most of these are generally considered “lifestyle” topics. I want to talk about them and share my experience openly as I try to find ways to be a good global citizen at the same time. How do I consume less, use what I have mindfully, think of the planet and all my fellow humans while I pursue the things that make me feel alive? I don’t have answers, but my hope is that if I share my journey, it will support you in your journey. As Ram Dass says, we are all just walking each other home.
So it begins. I look forward to your input and comments. This is a collaborative venture. A community to build together.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for Being here.
